Love Notes began as a Young Women in Harmony quartet at ages 11 - 14 in 2002. They raised their level consistently through Sweet Adeline competitions, winning First Place International quartet in Honolulu in 2013. Audiences world wide love their mature a cappella sound. They perform professionally on a variety of stages, including performances on America's Got Talent, both L.A. and Las Vegas, appeared on Access Hollywood, were the guest performers for BING (Barbershop in Germany), and have won San Francisco's Harmony Sweepstakes. They have released 5 CD's and continue to travel as headline performers.

COUNSELORS

Gayle has had a successful career as child actress and vocalist, as well a national status roller skater.  Her first love however is dance. She has studied with Gregory Hines, Savion Glover, Sam Weber and Eddie Brown to list a few. Gayle started teaching at Studio 10 in San Jose in 1992. She is the founder and artistic director of "Tap Explosion", the South Bays only tap dance company. An accomplished singer she also teaches voice.  Gayle has choreographed for International level choruses and adds a vibrant energy to Mountain Harmony Camp through her choreography and showmanship classes.

Mountain Harmony Camp is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment where every girl can freely explore her voice and expand her creativity while discovering the joy of a cappella singing through high quality education in Barbershop style harmony.

Caitlin sings Baritone with Sweet Adelines Int'l's 2014 champion quartet, Love Notes. She is also the Musical Director of Diablo Vista Chorus, Walnut Creek. Caitlin graduated Magna Cum Laude from Santa Clara University in 2009 with a degree in Psychology and in 2012 from San Jose State with a Masters in Speech Language Pathology. She works in the traumatic brain injury department of the Valley Medical Center in San Jose. In her spare time she stays busy as a Section Leader for Bay Area Showcase Chorus and tap dancing with Tap Explosion. We are excited to have her as our main educator for our camp again this year.

Every counselor is carefully chosen from members of Region 12, Sweet Adelines International, and each staff member is cleared through a State and Federal background report. There is one counselor assigned to each cabin of 7 to 8 girls and she is responsible for their care during camp.​ A Camp Nurse is part of our staff and will assist the Alliance Redwood's Medical Technician with any medication dispensing or medical issues that may arise.

Julie Harrelson

​​Cyndi is a Certified Director for Sweet Adelines International and Teaching Faculty for Region 12. She is the Young Women in Harmony Program Manager, Instructor for the Directing Skills Program, chorus and quartet coach, and private vocal instructor. Her music education includes master classes in Vocal Production, Choral Theory, and Theater Arts. Cyndi directed Diablo Vista Chorus for ten years, and has sung in several competing quartets. She has worked in the Mt. Diablo Unified School District for 28 years and directs the Show Choir & Theater Arts program at Westwood Elementary in Concord.  Cyndi helped to create Mountain Harmony Camp in 2011 and is continues to uphold the camp goals of empowering our youth through the arts.
