Dede is an accomplished musician with a 30+ year teaching career for the Fresno Unified School District. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Piano and Voice from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana, and her Masters degree in Administration from Cal State Fresno. She is currently the Master director of the Sacramento Valley Chorus, and proudly served as the Master director of Voices United in Fresno for 33 years. Dede is an International Teaching Faculty member of Sweet Adelines, and embraces all aspects of our organization, including; quartet singing, music arranging, coaching and teaching. She has a passion for young singers and has generously shared her talents with our Young Women in Harmony program, conducting youth festivals and workshops throughout the United States.


Mountain Harmony Camp is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment where every girl can freely explore her voice and expand her creativity while discovering the joy of a cappella singing through high quality education in Barbershop style harmony.

COUNSELORS

Every counselor is carefully chosen from members of Region 12, Sweet Adelines International, and each staff member is cleared through a State and Federal background check. There is one counselor assigned to each cabin of 7 to 8 girls and she is responsible for their care during camp.

CAMP DIRECTOR / INSTRUCTOR
Cyndi Sharp

​​Cyndi is a Certified Director for Sweet Adelines International and Teaching Faculty for Region 12. She is the Young Women in Harmony Program Manager, Instructor for the Directing Skills Program, chorus and quartet coach, and private vocal instructor. Her music education includes master classes in Vocal Production, Choral Theory, and Theater Arts. Cyndi directed Diablo Vista Chorus in Walnut Creek for ten years, and has sung in several competing quartets. She has worked in the Mt. Diablo Unified School District for 30 years and directs the Show Choir & Theater Arts program at Westwood Elementary in Concord.  Cyndi helped to create Mountain Harmony Camp in 2011 and continues to uphold the camp goals of empowering our youth through the arts.

Kelly has been a vital contributor to Mountain Harmony Camp for 6 years and loves sharing her musical energy with our campers.  Kelly has always been involved in Concert Choirs, Madrigals, and Musical Theater productions. After college, she joined the San Francisco Sound Wave Chorus (SFSW), and over the past 6 years has competed with Region 12, earning Most Improved Quartet and Novice Quartet ribbons with her quartet, Lucky Pitches, Kelly has served on the SFSW Choreography Team for 4 years, is serving in her 3rd year on the Music Team as Lead Section Leader.  She is excited educating our campers by enhancing the visual component of our performance.

Verve was formed in May 2014 and works diligently exploring the art of acappella singing with an emphasis on the barbershop style. 
Averi is a lifelong barber-shopper, successful business owner, and Mom to three energetic and adorable children.
Julie is a long time supporter of Mountain Harmony Camp. She has shared her talents by teaching vocal skills for us since camp's inception. She is an overly involved community volunteer and Mom to a Sophomore at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. 
Laura is an extremely successful software salesperson, engaging in extensive travel, and when not singing or working, indulges her love of nature photography.
Jen is a wine club manager and Mom to an extremely active teenage son and precocious elementary schooler.
Verve is devoted to family, community, music, and each other. They eagerly support our Young Women in Harmony Program and look forward to working at MHC, facilitating each girl in learning and growing in the acappella art form!
